- How the customer (you) makes a booking with Sierra Rentals (SR).
- You can book accommodation with SR either by:
- telephone, or
- post;
- internet
In all cases the booking form must be completed and signed by you and sent to us together with a cheque for 25% of the cost of the accommodation.
Where accommodation is booked by telephone or the internet, the reservation will be held for you for 4 working days during which time SR must have received from you the completed booking form and the deposit payment.
- No booking will be completed until SR has confirmed the booking with you in writing.
- The balance of the price of the accommodation must be paid within 8 weeks of the date of the commencement of the rental period.
- Only those persons named in the booking form can use the accommodation booked unless permission is granted in writing by SR.
SR must be notified in writing by you of all cancellations.
Cancellation charges are as follows and relate to the date on which SR receives notice of the cancellation.
- 56 days of more from the arrival date ’Äì loss of deposit
- 55-43 days ’Äì 40% of the cost of the accommodation
- 43-29 days ’Äì 75% of the cost of the accommodation
- 28-0 days ’Äì 100% of the cost of the accommodation
SR may consider it necessary or advisable at SR’Äôs reasonable discretion to cancel your accommodation. Should this happen, SR will notify you in writing as soon as possible. You can then at your option:
- choose any other accommodation subject to availability. Where the accommodation is of a lower cost, you will receive a refund of the balance and where the accommodation is of a high cost, you will be required to pay the balance within 5 working days or by the date of departure if earlier.
- receive full refund of your payment.
NB SR reserves the right to cancel or terminate a booking without payment of compensation and without further responsibility to you or the members of your party if in the reasonable opinion of SR or its representative the conduct of any person using the accommodation during the rental period is unreasonable and/or is likely to cause damage or distress to others.
SR will not be responsible for:
- cancellation or changes to your accommodation as a result of war, riots, civil commotion, strikes, disasters, terrorist activities, technical problems with transportation and other events outside the control of SR
- loss of gas, bottled gas, electricity, water and/or phone services
- any action whether affecting the accommodation or not by any person or body or authority over which the company has no control
- personal belongings and baggage of yourself and those in your party
- the failure of yourself or anyone in your party to obtain the necessary passports or visas
- changes in the dates of local fiestas or ferias
NB The liability of SR shall be limited to £300 per party in respect of compensation other than involving personal injury.
Deposits for breakages and damages are payable for all accommodation at the discretion of SR. You are liable for all damage caused to the accommodation by yourself, the members of your group and any one at the property with your consent. Access to the accommodation shall be given to representatives of SR at reasonable times. The cost of damages and/or breakage will be deducted from your deposit and we will endeavour to return the balance to you within 4 weeks of the last day of your holiday.
NB Damage caused to the accommodation shall include damage to any fixtures, fittings, furniture, chattels, garden areas, pools and other items belonging with the accommodation.
SR is committed to making your holiday in Andalucia as enjoyable as possible. Should you however have cause to complain during your holiday please do so to our representative in Spain so that we can attempt to rectify the matter as quickly as possible. If matters cannot be reasonably rectified during the holiday complaints must be made in writing to SR within 28 days of the end of the holiday.
- Our prices are based on costs, charges, rentals, taxes and exchange rates in force at 1st January 2004. If these costs increase we may have to increase the cost to you and we reserve the right to change our prices at any time prior to booking.
These conditions shall be governed by English law.
We will attempt to accommodate any amendments or alterations made by you if possible. Requests for amendments shall be made in writing. If SR is able to comply with your requests a fee of £15.00 per person named in the booking form up to a maximum of £50.00 will be charged in addition to any additional cost if accommodation of a greater value is required. SR reserves the right to treat all requests for alterations within 6 weeks of the date of departure as a cancellation and the charges in clause 2 will apply.
Changes to the information in any literature supplied in connection with this booking including any contained in any web site may be necessary and SR reserves the right to make such amendments and will try to inform you of such alterations before the date of the rental period. In the case of what SR considers in its reasonable opinion to be minor alterations the booking shall not be affected. In all other cases you can:
- accept the amendment, or
- accept alternative accommodation which may be offered, or
- request a refund of all monies paid to SR
